Two uniformed males are fighting. They are fighting with words. The moment it turns out that one of them is loosing, he escapes. He is leaving the frame, only the winner stays. He smokes and recapitulates for the viewer: “That’s the rule”. The scene is shot by night. Although it’s one of the famous White Nights of St. Petersburg, you wouldn’t recognize a lot without the infrared light. By bringing in mind the pictures of surveillance cameras and the ones of the nightly bombing Baghdad`s in the first Iraki War, it underlines the documentarian characteristics of the work. White Night is part II of the Wildboyz Series and was shown in exhibitions together with the photographic works OPFOR Wildboyz Pt. I and Pt. III.
